LOUIS STOKES ALLIANCE FOR MINORITY PARTICIPATION (LSAMP) Summer Research Internship Program
Description
- 10‐week National Science Foundation (NSF) summer internship for undergraduates in STEM disciplines
- Participation in oral and/or poster presentations at the national UB Undergraduate Research Conference
- Research Methods Seminar
- Weekly “essential skills” workshops
- Participation in the UB School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS) Summer Research Symposium
Eligibility
- Full-time undergraduates majoring in a STEM discipline with an interest in research
- Completed a minimum of 30 credits before the start of the program
- U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- Cumulative GPA of 2.80 or better
- LSAMP supports broadening participation from groups that have been historically underrepresented (African American, Latinx, American Indians, Native Pacific Islanders, etc.) in STEM disciplines
- Graduating seniors are ineligible
- Students in allied health fields (OT/PT, nursing, medicine, medical technology, pharmacy) are ineligible
