The Maine Space Grant Consortium (MSGC), a non-profit organization, is pleased to announce a special opportunity for undergraduate students at Maine Colleges and Universities who are interested in a challenging research experience with a mentor at a NASA field center. Students will also develop career contacts throughout the state of Maine. The experience will involve a ten-week session (typically during the summer) with mentors at any one of the 10 NASA field centers.
• Be a US citizen
• Be classified a rising sophomore, junior, or senior after the spring of 2024
• Have a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 Scale
• Be enrolled full time in an accredited Maine Academic Institution
• Be pursuing a career in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) fields, K-12 teaching of science, or in the management of science with a strong science background
• Demonstrate strong extracurricular interest in one of the above careers or disciplines (e.g., science, math, engineering fairs, clubs or awards; tutoring/mentoring; internships, etc.)
