Description

10-week hands-on laboratory research training opportunity addressing problems relevant to health and the environment

Mentoring in faculty laboratories at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville with the following expertise:

  • Nanofabrication
  • Encryption and Security
  • New devices and materials
  • Power Electronics and Electric Vehicles
  • Embedded computing
  • Bio-inspired Computing and Computing Architectures
  • Biosensor and Biotechnology development
  • Sensors for Extreme Environments and Exploration

Participate in academic and professional development/career opportunity workshops

Present research findings at the UT Summer Symposium at the end of the program

Stipend for each student participant, along with additional complete support for on-campus housing, and partial reimbursement to offset travel costs

Eligibility

  • Any STEM (Science ,Technology, Engineering, and Math) major may apply.
  • Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • No prior research experience required.
  • All levels (Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, Senior) accepted.
