USA Scholars of Perseverance and Social Justice Scholarship was created in 2020 by the 100 Black Men of Greater Mobile, Inc. The scholarship is in memory of all those who have mentally and physically fallen to systems of injustice . Recipients must be an incoming Freshman with a 3.0 High School GPA and at least a 21 ACT score. Preference will be given to students who graduated from one of the following schools: Blount, Davidson, LeFlore Magnet, B.C. Rain, Vigor, or Williamson High School. Preference will also be given to someone who demonstrates financial need and is underrepresented in the University of South Alabama student body population.
