AES Hawaii Scholarship Fund - Hawaii Island

Description

The AES Hawaii Scholarship Fund - Hawaii Island was created in 2022. The purpose of the fund is to provide scholarship grants to students seeking higher education.

Eligibility

  • General Criteria: Be a resident of the State of Hawai‘i
  • Demonstrate financial need.
  • Maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA (unless otherwise stated)

Additional Requirements:

HCF Criteria:

  • Be a resident of the State of Hawaii
  • Demonstrate financial need
  • Be in good academic standing or by maintaining a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5

Donor Criteria:

  • Be a students pursuing a degree that may include a focus on or leading to a career in sustainable/renewable energy (e.g. Applied Science, Architecture, Architectural Engineering & Construction Technology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Communications, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, Electrical Technology/Repair, Engineering-Construction/Management, Engineering Technology-Electrical, Engineering-Electrical, Engineering-Environmental, Engineering Science, Energy Management, Energy Studies, Energy Systems Management, Engineering Technology, Environmental Science, Earth Science, Environmental Sustainability, Finance, Geography, Geology, Geophysics, Geoscience, Law, Landscape Architecture, Natural Resources Management, Renewable Energy and Island Sustainability, Renewable Energy Engineering, Sustainability-Construction Technology, Sustainable Environmental Design, Sustainability & Renewal Energy, Sustainable Science Management, Sustainability Studies, or similar fields of study.

Preference:

  • Preference for recipients who were awarded in the immediate prior year if such recipient continues to meet the eligibility requirements and is in good academic standing.
