This scholarship was established for the purpose of providing financial assistance to undergraduate students majoring in a field related to Life Course & Aging Studies in good academic standing based on GPA, academic performance, and an essay on career goals. Students should demonstrate a commitment to working with senior citizens who have limited resources and reside in senior living communities, most especially those AHEPA 310 Senior Housing facilities located in Mobile and Baldwin Counties. The College of Arts and Sciences scholarship selection committee will be charged with the responsibility of selecting the recipient of this scholarship. Nominations for the award must be endorsed by the Director of the USA Programs in Gerontology or the Director of the USA Center for Generational Studies. Students must be enrolled full-time for the upcoming academic year (fall and spring) in order to apply and receive this scholarship. Applicants must be full-time undergraduates with a 3.0 or higher GPA.
