The Albert and Dorothy Shigekuni Scholarship fund was created in 2013. It is the intention and desire of the Donors that the Fund be used to provide scholarship grants.

HCF Criteria:

• Be in good academic standing or by maintaining a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0
• Preference for recipients who were awarded in the immediate prior year if such recipient continues to meet the eligibility requirements and is in good academic standing.

Donor Criteria:

• Be a resident of the State of Hawai'i
• Demonstrate financial need
• Minimum GPA (grade point average) of 3.1
• Be a Full-time student
• Be an undergraduate student
• Enroll at a University of Hawaii System school

Preference:

• Pursue one semester or one year study abroad program through the University of Hawaii System
• For students who have not traveled outside of Hawaii
