This scholarship was created by Walter and his children to honor their wife and mother, fondly remembered by many as making the fairgrounds her second home during fair week. Recipients must be enrolled in the Hancock County 4-H program

• Applicants must: 1) be Hancock County, Indiana 4-H members who will complete their final year of 4-H activity this year; and
• 2) plan to pursue, at a minimum, an associate’s degree. Applicants need not be residents of Hancock County or attend Hancock County high schools.
• SELECTION CRITERIA: Recipients will be chosen on the basis of 4-H achievement (40%), school activities (20%), community service (20%), and academic achievement (20%). Two recipients will be chosen.
