Athletics First Generation Scholarship

Description

The purpose of this scholarship, part of the First Generation Matching Grant Program, is to provide financial support to first-generation college students who are residents of Florida, enrolled at least half-time at UCF, and demonstrate financial need. The aim is to ensure that students who are the first in their families to pursue higher education receive the assistance they need to succeed. By bridging the gap in financial aid, this scholarship helps students achieve their academic goals and pave the way for a brighter future.

Eligibility

  • Applicant must be enrolled at least half-time (6 credits) as an undergraduate student at UCF.
  • Applicant must be a Florida Resident and U.S Citizen or eligible Non-Citizen.
  • Applicant must not have received a baccalaureate degree.
  • Applicant must demonstrate financial need as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
  • Applicant must not have defaulted on or owe a refund to any previous aid program.
  • Applicant must be considered as ‘First Generation’. (First Generation Student is defined as neither of the student’s parents earned a college degree at the baccalaureate level or higher.)
  • The criteria for awarding the Scholarship will be consistent with the guidelines established by the University of Student Financial Assistance.
