The Aviation Technology Scholarship of the Aviation Council of Pennsylvania is available to students who are residents of Pennsylvania. Students seeking an associate, bachelor’s, or graduate degree in airframe, powerplant maintenance, avionics, or aerospace engineering and preparing for a career in aviation technology are eligible to apply.Scholarships Available:AVIATION TECHNOLOGY: Includes airframe and powerplant maintenance, avionics, and aerospace engineeringAVIATION MANAGEMENT (the Wilfred M. “Wiley” Post Scholarship): Includes management of airlines, airports, FBOs, flight schools, and air traffic control.PROFESSIONAL PILOT (the John W. “Reds” Macfarlane and the Arnold Palmer Scholarships): Includes training for career opportunities related to actually flying aircraft.
- Applicants must be Pennsylvania residents. - Applicants may attend school outside of Pennsylvania. - Applicant may be enrolled in any of the following: a two- or four-year college program, a master’s degree program, a flight training program, or an aviation technology program. - Applicants for the Professional Pilot Scholarship shall hold at least a Student Pilot Certificate and have soloed an aircraft.
