The CGI Empowerment Scholarship, created in 2020 by CGI Technologies and Solutions Inc. This scholarship is intended to assist incoming freshmen who live in and represent underserved communities in the University of South Alabama service area, who intend to remain in the Mobile area after graduation.

• Recipients must be full-time incoming freshmen with a 3.0 high school GPA, 23 or higher ACT/converted SAT score.
• Preference will given to students who live in and represent underserved communities in the University of South Alabama service area, those who intend to remain in or return to the Mobile area after graduation, and those who are members of underrepresented groups within the field of computing.
• Application requires essay.
