This scholarship was established in 1979 by Lawrence and Dorothy Spanjer to support individuals wanting to work with people with disabilities after seeing the incredible care given to their son, Corky and attending Special Olympic events. Eligible students should be pursuing a career field that will allow them to work with people with physical and or mental disabilities. Preference will be given to graduates of a high school in Chelan, Douglas or Okanogan Counties.
