This scholarship was established in 2007 for the purpose of providing financial support to undergraduate students majoring in Economics and Finance and plans to pursue a career in commercial banking.

• Preference is given to students who are taking or have taken commercial banking courses (Fin 470 and/or Fin 471).
• Added considerations are GPA, those who worked for a depository institution, and/or a Mississippi resident. This scholarship was made possible by donations from Mr. J. Matthew Mayo.
• *Please note, the recipient of this scholarship is expected to attend the Annual Mitchell College of Business Scholars Dinner.*
