Dr. Damon and Tera Andrew established the Dr. John E. Kovaleski Future Faculty Scholarship in 2021 in honor of Dr. Kovaleski's encouragement of students pursuing careers as professors. This scholarship is intended to encourage undergraduate students' retention and graduation and support them as they explore graduate programs and graduate assistantships.

• Recipients must be full-time undergraduates with a 3.0 or higher GPA.
• Preference will be given to students who demonstrate financial need as defined by the University and are in their senior year with a declared major within the Department of Health, Kinesiology, and Sport.
• Additionally, preference will be given to applicants with a demonstrated interest in research and a future career as a faculty member in higher education.
• Applicants must have a completed FAFSA on file for the relevant academic year to be considered.
