The Dr. Richard W. Carpenter scholarship honors the memory of a long-time St. Claire physician and was established for students in the healthcare field to advance their educational goals and ultimately contribute to our medical community. Dr. Carpenter had a passion for teaching and advancing the quality of the healthcare system in the region.

- From a county within the SCH service region- Bath, Carter, Elliott, Fleming, Lewis, Magoffin, Menifee, Montgomery, Morgan, Rowan, or Wolfe- Incoming freshman in the fall semester- Full-time status at an accredited college or university- Pursuing a medically related program of study
