The Elaine and John "J.D." Baxter Endowed Scholarship in Accounting was established in December 2017 for the purpose of providing financial assistance to a full-time undergraduate student with a declared major in Accounting within the Mitchell College of Business.

This scholarship was established by Mr. and Mrs. John "J.D" Baxter with a spirit of thanksgiving to the University of South Alabama for providing a great college experience, excellent education and instilling a spirit of life-time learning.

• Student must have a minimum 3.0 GPA. This scholarship shall be renewable in subsequent years if the student continues to meet the qualification criteria.
