The First Generation College of Optics and Photonics Scholarship (Soileau) is designed to support full-time undergraduate students enrolled in the B.S. degree program within the College of Optics and Photonics at the University. This scholarship aims to alleviate the financial burden on students who demonstrate financial need, as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Awarded funds, subject to availability, can be applied toward tuition, textbooks, fees, and other educational expenses. The scholarship forms part of the First Generation Matching Grant program, with an application deadline of October 31, 2024.

• Applicant must be enrolled at the University as a full-time undergraduate student in the College of Optics and Photonics in the B.S. degree program for optics and photonics.
• Applicant must demonstrate financial need as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
