First Generation Rosen College of Hospitality Management

Description

The purpose of the First Generation Rosen College of Hospitality Management Scholarship, part of the First Generation Matching Grant Program, is to provide financial support to first-generation students enrolled in the Rosen College of Hospitality Management at UCF. This scholarship aims to empower students who are the first in their families to pursue higher education, helping them overcome financial barriers and achieve their academic goals. By offering this support, the scholarship fosters diversity and inclusion within the hospitality management field, ensuring that students with financial need can thrive and contribute to the industry.

Eligibility

  • Applicant must be enrolled at least half-time (6 credits) as an undergraduate student at UCF in the Rosen College of Hospitality Management.
  • Applicant must be a Florida Resident and U.S Citizen or eligible Non-Citizen.
  • Applicant must not have received a baccalaureate degree.
  • Applicant must demonstrate financial need as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
  • Applicant must not have defaulted on or owe a refund to any previous aid program.
  • Applicant must be considered as ‘First Generation’.
  • First Generation Student is defined as neither of the student’s parents earned a college degree at the baccalaureate level or higher.
  • The criteria for awarding the Scholarship will be consistent with the guidelines established by the University of Student Financial Assistance.
