Established in 2018, the Frances DuBose Thomas Endowed Scholarship for Academic Success was created by Jan Thomas Hailey to honor her mother. This award is intended to encourage students to overcome their struggles in Math in order to obtain a college degree.

• Recipients must be degree seeking students with a 2.2 or higher cumulative USA GPA.
• Preference will be given to freshman and sophomore students who struggle in their first-year math class, but show initiative by seeking tutoring, coaching, or related academic support services.
• Additionally, preference will be given to first generation college students and those from populations that have been historically underrepresented in math programs.
