HBCU SUSTAINABLE COMMUNITIES INITIATIVE SCHOLARSHIP POWERED BY SOUTHERN COMPANY CHARITABLE FOUNDATION IN PARTNERSHIP WITH INROADS, TMCF & UNCF

Description

The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF), United Negro College Fund (UNCF) and INROADS are proud to offer financial assistance to outstanding students attending one of TMCF’s member-schools that include 47 publicly-supported Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Predominantly Black Institutions (PBIs). Fifty (50) scholars will be selected to receive a fall need-based renewable scholarship up to $5,000.00 for 2024-2025 academic school year (which can only be applied to verifiable costs associated with average tuition and usual fees). Scholarship recipients will have the ability to receive an additional up to $5,000 scholarship renewal for a second year, based on continued, positive academic standing.

Eligibility

  • Be enrolled full-time as an undergraduate junior or senior at the selected TMCF member-school during the 2024-2025 academic school year majoring in STEM, business, and sustainability-related disciplines.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Scholarships are awarded based on need.
  • Scholarships are awarded in the fall of your Junior year.
  • Minimum grade point average (GPA). of 2.8
  • Each Scholarship recipient receives up to $10,00 over a two year period.
  • Be a U.S. Citizen or legal permanent resident with a valid permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551.
