Helping Hands for the Children established the Helping Hands Development Award to support an outstanding Sophomore, Junior, or Senior student majoring in Leisure Studies or Therapeutic Recreation who has candidacy status beginning in the Fall semester in the College of Education.

• Sophomore, Junior, or Senior student majoring in Leisure Studies or Therapeutic Recreation who has candidacy status beginning in the Fall semester in the College of Education.
• Applicants must maintain a 3 GPA, have volunteered at the Mapp Child and Family Life Program.
• Application requires one letter of recommendation from the Mapp Child and Family Life Program staff.
