Description

The Jim and Pat Dietz Skills Scholarship is intended to support adults and graduating seniors from the Botkins Local School District of Botkins, Ohio. If no eligible applicants are found in this district, the scholarship extends to those in the school districts of Shelby County, Ohio. This scholarship is aimed at individuals planning to attend an accredited adult education program, trade school, or pursue up to an Associate’s Degree, with the goal of entering a skilled profession. The selection process emphasizes career passion, work experience, community or school service, and strong recommendations.

Eligibility

  • Adults or graduating seniors who reside in the Botkins Local School District of Botkins, Ohio shall be eligible to apply. If there are no eligible applicants residing in the Botkins Local School District, then adults or graduating high school seniors who reside in the school Districts of Shelby County, Ohio shall be eligible.
  • Must be planning to attend an accredited adult education program or trade school or pursuing up to an Associate’s Degree, where the completion of coursework satisfies requirements leading to a skilled profession.
  • Selection based upon: Demonstrated interest and passion for a specific career path, demonstrated work experience, demonstrated community or school service, and recommendations.
  • Two $1,000 scholarships
