Established in 2021 by the family, friends, and colleagues in the Black Faculty and Staff Association, the Ladora Farley-Howard Black Faculty and Staff Association Scholarship aims to support students who increase diversity at the University of South Alabama.

• Recipients must be full-time undergraduates with a 3.0 or higher GPA and a 23 or greater ACT/converted SAT score.
• Preference will be given to students who increase diversity at the university, and those who demonstrate financial need as determined by the university.
• Preference will be given to students who are majoring in Speech and Hearing Sciences, Communications, Social Work, Physical Education, Special Education, Business Management, or Business Marketing.
• Application requires an essay.
