Lavonne Simon Endowed Book Award This scholarship is awarded annually to an outstanding College of Education student who will be entering their senior year of studies at the University of South Alabama and who demonstrates academic excellence and achievement in the classroom.

• Students must be enrolled in the USA College of Education, apply for the book award for the senior year of studies, and be in good standing according to University policies.
• Preference should be given to a minority student and to those who have majored in reading.
• Students should also have a minimum University of South Alabama Cumulative GPA of 3.0 and a Program Component Cumulative GPA of 3.00.
