Marlin Family Burnett Honors College First Generation Scholarship

Description

This scholarship aims to assist undergraduate students who are at least half-time (6 credits), are Florida residents, and are either U.S. citizens or eligible non-citizens. Applicants must not have received a baccalaureate degree, must demonstrate financial need through FAFSA, and must not have defaulted on or owe a refund to any previous aid programs. The scholarship is specifically for first-generation students, meaning neither of their parents holds a college degree at the baccalaureate level or higher.

Eligibility

  • Applicant must be enrolled at least half-time (6 credits) as an undergraduate student at UCF in the Burnett Honors College.
  • Applicant must be a Florida Resident and U.S Citizen or eligible Non-Citizen.
  • Applicant must not have received a baccalaureate degree.
  • Applicant must demonstrate financial need as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
  • Applicant must not have defaulted on or owe a refund to any previous aid program.
  • Applicant must be considered as ‘First Generation’.
  • First Generation Student is defined as neither of the student’s parents earned a college degree at the baccalaureate level or higher.
  • The criteria for awarding the Scholarship will be consistent with the guidelines established by the University of Student Financial Assistance.
