Description

Offered by the Asian Pacific Community Fund, the Matt Fong Asian Americans in Public Finance Scholarship is an annual award offered to California college students interested in a career serving the public sector. Each applicant must be a current undergraduate student at a four-year college or university in California and be majoring in accounting, business administration, social science, or a related field. Additionally, applicants must have Asian ethnic heritage, meet a minimum 3.0 GPA requirement, and demonstrate financial need. Preference is given to students with an interest in public sector work or those with community service and community advocacy.

Eligibility

  • Grade level: Full-time undergraduate at a four year college/university (in the state of California) in 2023-24
  • Ethnic heritage: Asian heritage (at least 50%)
  • A minimum GPA of 3.0- Major: Social Science, Accounting, Business Administration, or related fields
  • Preference given to those with interest in public sector work or those with community service and community advocacy
