The Association offers several scholarship programs that either require an applicant to pursue a specific degree or attend a specific university. These specialized programs are funded through the generosity of individual Horatio Alger Members. Please scroll down to see if any of these programs line up with your choices. The Montana Scholarship Program is funded by Association Member Dennis R. Washington, Chairman, Washington Corporations.

The following criteria applies to all programs below:

• High school senior
• Critical financial need ($55,000 or less adjusted gross income per family is required)
• Integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity
• United States citizenship

• Academic achievement (minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0)

Planning to pursue a degree at one of the following institutions: The University of Montana or one of its affiliates, which include: 

• Helena College 
• Missoula College 
• Montana Tech at Butte 
• The University of Montana at Missoula 
• The University of Montana Western at Dillon

Montana State University or one of its affiliates, which include: 

• Great Falls College MSU 
• Montana State University Billings 
• Montana State University at Bozeman 
• Montana State University Northern at Havre
