Rose Biller Scholarship Fund

Description

The UJA-Federation of NY Rose Biller Scholarship Fund is open to Jewish residents of NYC’s five boroughs, Westchester, and Long Island with financial need. It provides scholarships to Jewish men and women with significant economic need attending undergraduate, graduate, and professional schools.

Eligibility

- The UJA-Federation Rose Biller Scholarship Program provides scholarships to Jewish men and women with significant economic need attending undergraduate, graduate, and professional schools.- Biller applicants must be citizens or legal permanent residents of the United States. International students visiting the United States with F, B, M, J, A, or other visas are not eligible for this award.- Biller applicants must be Jewish residents of NYC’s five boroughs, Long Island, or Westchester. Returning students who are not originally residents of NYC, Long Island, or Westchester but have registered to vote in these areas are deemed to be residents for the purposes of applying for this scholarship.- Applicants must be students at colleges or graduate or professional schools located in NYC’s five boroughs, Long Island, or Westchester, and must be at least sophomores (2nd year undergraduate students). Applicants must be physically in attendance at campuses in NYC, Long Island, or Westchester. Students who are studying abroad or at satellite campuses or who are completing internships outside of NYC, Long Island, or Westchester are not eligible to apply.- Each student selected for a Biller Scholarship will receive up to a maximum of $5,000. Students must re-apply each year.- Biller Scholarships will not be awarded to medical, dental, or law students (with the exception of CUNY law students) or any first-year student.- All scholarship decisions are final.
