Description

The purpose of the Science Post Graduate Scholarship Fund (SPGSF) program is to provide financial assistance to eligible American Indian and Alaska Native undergraduate, graduate, and professional students pursuing degrees full-time at an accredited institution in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields (i.e., Medical and Life Sciences; Engineering; Physical Sciences; Chemistry; Natural Resources/Conservation; Mathematics and Computational Sciences; Earth, Environmental, and Agriculture/Animal Sciences; Technology; Computer Sciences; Architectural Sciences; Public Health; Psychology; etc.).

The maximum amount of an undergraduate award is $20,000 and the maximum amount of a graduate award is $30,000 per year. This opportunity is a need-based award.

Eligibility

To be considered for Access funding the applicant must meet the following requirements:

  • Be an enrolled member of a federally recognized American Indian Tribe or Alaska Native group or provide documentation of ancestry to possession of 1/2 degree Indian blood of a federally recognized Tribe or Alaska Native group.
  • Be enrolled full-time at an accredited college or university pursuing an undergraduate, graduate, or professional degree.
  • Be pursuing a degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) field.
