The Morsberger Family Endowed First Generation Scholarship

Description

This scholarship aims to assist full-time undergraduate students who are first-generation college students, meaning neither of their parents has earned a college degree at the baccalaureate level or higher. The scholarship is intended to alleviate financial burdens by covering various educational expenses, based on demonstrated financial need as determined by FAFSA. Eligible applicants must be Florida residents and U.S. citizens or eligible non-citizens who have not previously received a baccalaureate degree.

Eligibility

  • Applicant must be enrolled full-time as an undergraduate student at UCF.
  • Applicant must be a Florida Resident and U.S Citizen or eligible Non-Citizen.
  • Applicant must not have received a baccalaureate degree.
  • Applicant must demonstrate financial need as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
  • Applicant must not have defaulted on or owe a refund to any previous aid program.
  • Applicant must be considered as ‘First Generation’.
  • First Generation Student is defined as neither of the student’s parents earned a college degree at the baccalaureate level or higher.
  • The criteria for awarding the Scholarship will be consistent with the guidelines established by the University of Student Financial Assistance.
