The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF), and NRG, Energy, Inc. are proud to offer financial assistance to outstanding students attending select Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Predominantly Black Institutions (PBIs). Ten (10) scholars will be selected to receive a fall need-based scholarship up to $10,000 for 2024-2025 academic school year (to be applied to verifiable costs associated with average tuition and usual fees).

• Be enrolled full-time as an undergraduate junior during the 2024-2025 academic year at one of the schools listed below: 

          - Prairie View A&M University 

          - Texas Southern University

• Open to designated majors: 

          - STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) 

          - Marketing

          - Communications

          - Business 

          - Finance

          - Accounting 

          - Legal

• Current cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
• Must identify as Black/African-American
• Able to demonstrate a financial need.
• Submitted the 2024-2025 FAFSA to your selected university/college.
• Be a U.S. Citizen or legal permanent resident with a valid permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551.
