Tomasso Family Endowed First Generation Scholarship

Description

This scholarship aims to alleviate financial barriers for students who are the first in their families to pursue a college education. By providing financial assistance, the scholarship supports these students in achieving their academic goals and contributing positively to their communities. Eligible applicants must be enrolled at least half-time (6 credits) at UCF, be Florida residents, and hold U.S. citizenship or eligible non-citizen status. Applicants must also demonstrate financial need through the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and meet all additional criteria established by the university's Student Financial Assistance guidelines.

Eligibility

  • Applicant must be enrolled at least half-time (6 credits) as an undergraduate student at UCF.
  • Applicant must be a Florida Resident and U.S Citizen or eligible Non-Citizen.
  • Applicant must not have received a baccalaureate degree.
  • Applicant must demonstrate financial need as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
  • Applicant must not have defaulted on or owe a refund to any previous aid program.
  • Applicant must be considered as ‘First Generation’.
  • First Generation Student is defined as neither of the student’s parents earned a college degree at the baccalaureate level or higher.
  • The criteria for awarding the Scholarship will be consistent with the guidelines established by the University of Student Financial Assistance.
