This scholarship was established by William Crawford Gorgas Chapter, American War Mothers, a non-profit organization chartered by U.S. government to award an annual grant to a veteran of the Armed Forces of the United States of America, or deserving child of a war veteran, who is in financial need and meets the scholarship requirements of the scholarship committee.
