This S.T.E.M. Scholarship was established to honor William J. Smith, a man who recognized how education could solidify his future and who believed in sacrifice in the service of others

• Designated for: Graduating high school seniors from any Weld County high school (excluding home school and online school students).
• College Enrollment: Students must be enrolled full-time at any accredited four-year college or university in the United States.
• Specialized Study: Students must be pursuing a career in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (S.T.E.M) field.
• Minimum GPA:  3.50
• Other Criteria: Students must be a resident of the state of Colorado and must display a commitment to academics and have demonstrated financial need.
• Renewable: Yes.  
• Scholarship Amount: $500-$2,000
