Description
Waste Management of Arizona, Inc. has established a scholarship program to assist students who plan to continue their education at an accredited two-year college or vocational technical school in Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico or Utah to pursue a Diesel or Heavy Equipment Mechanic major.
The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor, and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.
Eligibility
Applicants to the WM Four Corners Scholarship Program must:
- Be pursuing a Diesel or Heavy Equipment Mechanic major
- Be high school seniors or graduates, or current college undergraduates
- Plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited college or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year in Colorado, New Mexico, Utah or Arizona.
- Have a minimum grade point average of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent)
- WM employees and immediate family members of WM employees are ineligible.
