The Yukiko Howell Memorial Scholarship, valued at $1,500, is offered by the WAI Washington State Chapter in memory of Yukiko Howell, a dedicated educator who taught math, science, and Japanese language at Annie Wright School in Tacoma, Washington. Yukiko was also an active volunteer within the chapter. This scholarship supports students pursuing careers in STEM fields, including but not limited to science, engineering, air traffic control, avionics, aircraft mechanics, meteorology, and STEM education.
